Back in 2006 native perennial tall grasses were non-existent at our desert ranch. As we improve our effective rainfall and create the right soil conditions, we have been able to grow the biomass and diversity of perennial tall grasses across the ranch with no irrigation or seeding and less than 250mm of rain per year. This picture shows Alejandro among a stand of Green Sprangletop native perennial grass (leptochloa dubia).
